I just wanted to thank everyone for being a part of The Twig and the Three-Legged Pig. Although we didn’t get funded on Kickstarter (we reached just over 50% of our goal), that’s quite alright. We just didn’t have enough people view the project while it was live. Ultimately, I want to let this story shine and for the story to speak for itself, but as an unknown author, it is often difficult to get the exposure necessary especially without a substantial email list prior to launch.
I really hoped that Kickstarter would give my project the “marketing kick” that it needed. In future, I may just send my finished books out to bloggers on my own dime (rather than market it near completion via Kickstarter and Youtube), get my books published on Amazon/Kindle ASAP and hopefully word will spread based on the stories alone. That’s not to say I won’t be putting effort into the marketing aspect, but I really do feel I need to focus on my next books, in particular “A Phoenix for Sale” rather than doing press releases, promotions & trailer work. Fingers crossed, future releases will generate sales on my previous works and so on. At least, that’s the plan for now.
I have enjoyed the entire experience, through the restless nights to the ups and downs. The launch of the campaign has really pushed me to work harder and update parts of the book I thought were already finished and for that, I would not trade it for the world.
For those that wish to keep up with me and my work, please follow me on twitter, add me on Instagram or visit my website from time to time! I still have the goal of finishing two books before Christmas and two more books by the end of 2018. They will hopefully all be up on Amazon soon!
The Twig and the Three-Legged Pig is set for an Amazon launch date by mid-September 2017.
